Samsung Galaxy S25 Series: Pre-Orders Open, Launch Expected January 23rd

The new Samsung Galaxy S25 series is now available for pre-order, according to several retail listings. Pre-orders are open from January 15th to 22nd, with the official launch anticipated on January 23rd. While the exact release date remains unconfirmed, early registrants are being offered attractive discounts and bonus gifts.

Major retailers like FPT Shop, Thế Giới Di Động, and CellphoneS have opened pre-orders for three new Galaxy devices, tentatively named “Galaxy New 1,” “Galaxy New 2,” and “Galaxy New 3,” priced at 23.9 million, 27.9 million, and 34.9 million Vietnamese Dong, respectively. These are widely believed to be the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra.

The S25 and S25 Plus reportedly come in 256GB and 512GB storage options, with color choices including dark blue, sky blue, green, and silver. The premium S25 Ultra is expected to be available in blue, black, gray, and silver.

Samsung previously sent out media invitations for a “new Galaxy” launch event scheduled for January 23rd in San Jose, California, further fueling speculation about the S25 series debut.

The S25 Ultra is rumored to boast a significant RAM upgrade to 16GB, up from the current 12GB. This, combined with the anticipated new Snapdragon chip, promises enhanced performance for local AI processing.

Leaked images suggest a return to the rounded-corner design for all three models, departing from the squared-off aesthetic of the S24 Ultra. This shift indicates Samsung’s move towards a consistent design language across its product line, similar to Apple’s approach.

Adding to the anticipation is the potential arrival of the Galaxy S25 Slim. Expected to be even thinner than the 7.6mm Galaxy S24, details about the Slim model remain scarce. While some sources suggest a simultaneous launch with the S25 series, others speculate a Q2 2025 release.

The Galaxy S series launch coincides with the Lunar New Year celebrations in Vietnam. Traditionally, new devices become available for purchase 1-2 weeks after the pre-order period. While Samsung aimed for a pre-Lunar New Year release in Vietnam, logistical and marketing challenges led to a more cautious approach, despite the peak sales season.

The close proximity of the launch to the Lunar New Year presents both opportunities and challenges for Samsung. While the festive season typically boosts consumer spending, the tight timeframe could impact availability and marketing efforts.

This strategic decision reflects the delicate balance between maximizing sales potential and ensuring a smooth product rollout. The success of the Galaxy S25 series will depend on Samsung’s ability to navigate these complexities and meet consumer demand during this crucial period.
